Seven essential core values make up and impact life here at West Park. They reflect who we are as a body of believers and define our purpose. It is from these core values that we develop spiritually as a church family. The core values of West Park are:
THE GOSPEL
Because the message of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection is God’s power for salvation to all who believe, we seek to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ personally, collectively, locally, and globally.
WHOLEHEARTED WORSHIP
We desire to cultivate an environment where people personally encounter Jesus during corporate worship. We also believe this worship must flow out of a life lived daily for the glory of God.
BIBLICAL TRUTH
Because the Bible is God’s truth, it is our sole authority and foundation for all we believe and practice. Knowledge of and obedience to God’s Word is essential to true life transformation.
AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY
Because God established the local church as a community of worshiping, growing, and serving believers, we commit to a shared life of encouragement, accountability, and genuine love.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Because disciples are to become like Christ, we seek to develop character, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills in others and ourselves as a lifelong process toward maturity.
LIFESTYLE GENEROSITY
God has entrusted us with His resources. We seek to faithfully share those resources through tithes and offerings for the ministry of our church, the spread of the gospel, and the care of those in need. We believe generosity is a lifestyle of love-inspired, sacrificial giving.
MISSIONAL LIVING
As Disciples of Christ, we are called to be missionaries to personally share the ministry and message of God’s love to all people. This requires intentionally aligning every area of our lives to this purpose.
