November Prayer Walk Opportunities
The West Park Prayer Ministry invites West Park members and attenders to participate in neighborhood prayer walks during the month of November.

Why? Prayer-walking helps us to uniquely engage with God's heart towards the people in our church, community, and city. As we walk outside, we pray "on-site for insight" that the Holy Spirit would reveal to us both the spiritual and physical needs of our communities.

How? Date and time will be determined amongst team members. Each prayer team will have a leader. The Prayer Ministry will supply a prayer guide and brief instructions for leaders to share. There should be 2-3 people (including the leader) on each team so nobody walks alone. Leaders will plan the prayer walk schedule and select where to meet.

If you are interested in leading a prayer walk for your neighborhood or a neighborhood near the church, please use this link to provide us with your contact information. A member of the Prayer Ministry Team will follow up with you.

Christmas Outreaches
This year, we have 2 different opportunities to give through various ministries! Stop by the tables in the Welcome Center, Front Lobby, Children's Center, or The Hub to find out how you can participate.

The first opportunity is a Christmas Stocking. Pick up a stocking at one of the locations listed above. Inside, you'll find instructions and a list of items with which to fill the stocking. Filled stockings can be returned to the Welcome Center.

The second opportunity is the Children's Play Set. Donations will go towards the purchase of a play set at a neighboring apartment complex to bless the children in that neighborhood. Donation envelopes are available at the locations listed above. Please write "Children's Play Set" on the memo line if writing a check. Envelopes may be returned to any of the tithe/offering boxes.

Donations for stockings and/or Children's Play Set should be returned on or before December 13. Thank you for your generosity this Christmas!

Pastor Sam's Newest Book - Life Changing Prayer
Pastor Sam’s latest book, Life Changing Prayer is on the way! Charles Spurgeon said, “True prayer...is a spiritual transaction with the Creator of heaven and earth.” In his new book, Life Changing Prayer, Pastor Sam unfolds five qualities of prayer to assist us in establishing awesome communication with God.

Pastor Sam writes, "When we are quiet in God's presence, we can discern His voice. We can’t just rush through the Bible and then rush through prayer, just before we rush out the door, and expect that we are going to clearly hear God’s voice in a profound and personal way. God is not in a hurry, and He will not allow us to rush or hurry Him. He loves us too much to do that.”

Life Changing Prayer is just the right size as the perfect "stocking-stuffer" and is available just in time for gift giving during the Christmas and New Year’s season. Ways to preorder your book(s):

The cost of this very helpful book is just $10 and all proceeds go to the support of CedarBrook Outreach.
