Open Doors
February 25-March 5, 2023
“Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut” was the promise our Lord made to the Church in Philadelphia in those closing years of the 1st century. In these years of the 21st century, the “Lord of the Open Door” is still providing gospel opportunities to His people that no power on earth or above the earth is able to close. Our Savior has promised to all churches that have “little strength,” “have kept My word,” and “not denied My name” that the door of gospel opportunity will remain open for them. For us at West Park, the open door for gospel outreach has never been wider or closer. With our ever-shrinking planet through worldwide travel and communications, a wide global door is open to us. Also, with the ever-increasing international diversity within our community, never has the open door to the nations been closer. Yet, the initiative to walk through these open doors internationally and locally rests upon us collectively and individually. The theme and focus of our Global Missions Conference, “Open Doors,” is to inform and inspire us to an “Open Door Initiative.” That initiative begins with sincere prayer that the Lord will open wide our eyes, our hearts, our gatherings, our homes, and our resources to walk through the open doors of the gospel around the corner and around the world. The doors are open now… may we in love and faith walk through them.
