Group Meetings during Covid19 Update:
We aim to start four (4) main adult groups on Sunday mornings whenever we restart groups at West Park. Below is an explanation of what these groups will be, why only 4, how they will be structured, and how you can help along the way.
First, these 4 groups will be called Adult Christian Training Seminars or ACTS for short. These ACTS will be mid-size groups made up of a combination of our current ABFs and Growth Groups and will meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00am. These groups are temporary, and they will NOT replace our current ABFs and Growth Groups. It’s best to view these ACTS groups as supplements on Sunday morning to the ministries of our ABFs and Growth Groups.
How will the ACTS be structured? Each group will have a main teacher who will coordinate ACTS direction. The following chart lists each teacher, location of the ACTS and the ABFs and Growth Groups that I am encouraging to meet to make up each ACTS.
Fred Blevins Round Building | Al Cage DFH | James Lynch UFH | Joe Kappel The Hub |

Each ACTS will feature prayer, teaching and occasional church-wide announcements. The goal of the ACTS hour is to provide teaching and fellowship for adults at West Park, on a temporary basis through the remainder of 2020 and under the Covid19 guidelines we’ve established for social distancing and love for neighbor. We plan to record and possibly livestream these gatherings for those who choose to join in from home.
If you are able and planning to attend a gathering in person, you can help us by planning to come to an ACTS group with a face covering. We will be closer together, even with social distancing guidelines, and the Elders of the church have made masks or face coverings in group settings a requirement.
Adult Christian Training Seminars do not replace your current group. God-willing, we’ll return to the Sunday morning schedule we were familiar with last year at this time sometime in 2021.
If you are new to West Park, you are invited to join any of these groups at any time. Please find a Greeter at the doors when you walk into our church building, and they will help connect you to the ACTS group that you would like to visit. You are our guest, and we are eager to meet and encourage you!
Continue to pray for one another, to seek unity with one another by the power of the Spirit, and to love one another earnestly.
Adult Ministry Groups
It is in small groups that we forge our most meaningful relationships. Group life at West Park takes on the form of Adult Bible Fellowships, Growth Groups and Training Classes. Groups keep us closely connected with one another on a regular basis. They’re where we care for one another, grow in our faith, and impact our neighborhoods.
At West Park, we believe that group fellowship is essential for growth as a Christian. You’ll discuss real life issues, see lives changed, and build meaningful friendships. We hope you’ll find a group to connect to our church in a deeper way.
