Missions Conference 2015
Richard & Cari Woughter
Richard and Cari Woughter are church-planting missionaries who have worked full time in the country of Nicaragua since the year 2006. Nicaragua is an economically poor developing country where the Woughters devote their time to church planting, local church development, leadership training and compassion ministries.
Richard is a leader, teacher and mentor in the ABWE School of church planting and very involved at the ABWE ministry center “Centro ABEM” where he leads the administrative and farm departments. Cari is the founder and director of Cottage Industries Nicaragua and the “SEEDS” ministry, a vocational ministry designed to combat poverty and contribute to the overall health and growth of families and churches in Nicaragua.
Richard and Cari have two kids (Jared and Christy) living and working in the States and two kids (Derek and Lindsey) living with them in Nicaragua. Derek and Lindsey attend Nicaragua Christian Academy, are fluent in Spanish and enjoy regular school days that include classes, sports and extracurricular activities.
The Woughter family hosts many individuals and teams from partnering churches that visit Nicaragua each year to participate actively with them on the field in their mission work. The Woughters recently built a home in a newly established Nicaraguan middle class neighborhood where they are working to start a church.
