Current Ministry
I grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, and was raised in a home that focused on living a “good” life. That meant regularly attending church services, respecting those who were in positions of authority, developing a strong work ethic, keeping the laws of the land, and treating everyone with dignity and respect. It was not until I was headed to college that I began to realize that God’s desire for me was to have a personal relationship with Him. For the first time, I began to truly understand the gospel of Jesus Christ and to have Him reign as Savior and Lord over my life.
I met my wife, Terri, at the University of Tennessee and we were married in 1980. The Lord has blessed us with three sons, Colin, Drew, and Ethan. To our great joy, each has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Prior to accepting God’s call into fulltime vocational ministry, I enjoyed a diverse professional career which included working for a FORTUNE 100 company for over 30 years. I continue to serve my community through a number of civic and volunteer organizations.
Throughout my life, I have served and ministered in various ways in the local church. I have been blessed to have Terri join me as my partner in serving the Lord and we both are committed to ministering together for His glory.
I am so excited to see how the Lord continues to work through our church to build His Kingdom through developing disciples who are committed to knowing and doing His will. I pray that West Park continues its mission to build a fellowship of local believers that reflects the ethnic, social, and cultural diversity God has chosen to represent Him on earth.
