Day 13 – Psalm 113

1 Praise the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord!

2 Blessed be the name of the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore!
3 From the rising of the sun to its setting,
the name of the Lord is to be praised!

4 The Lord is high above all nations,
and His glory above the heavens!
5 Who is like the Lord our God,
who is seated on high,
6 who looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
7 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
8 to make them sit with princes,
with the princes of His people.
9 He gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
Praise the Lord!

Prayer of Reflection:

“Lord, praise Your name for all eternity! I pray for believers to call on Your name and give You praise!

“Lord, I know You were before time began. Before the day starts and before the day ends, help me to remember to bless Your name and give You praise!

“There is none above You in all the earth; may Your glory be known. There is no one like You, God, who came from heaven and glory to know me personally. I pray to know You more each day.

“You are merciful and gracious, beyond what I deserve. You give joy to the humble – teach me to be humble in Your sight.

“May I give You all glory in all things! Amen.”

What a beautiful prayer of reflection on the nature of our God. He is indeed worthy of all our praise! And to think that He knows me personally…Wow! What a blessed thought. Thanks so much to sharing this wonderful prayer with us.

This is a perfect reminder to be humbled when compared to the magnificent glory of God. Praise the Lord.
