Praying the Power of the Psalms – Psalm 15

blog_prayingthepowerofthepsalms

Day 6 – Psalm 15

1 O Lord, who shall sojourn in Your tent?
Who shall dwell on Your holy hill?

2  He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
3  who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
4  in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5  who does not put out his money at interest
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.

Prayer of Reflection:

“Father, we thank You for Your grace that has been poured out on us, making it possible for us to be in the presence of our heavenly Father. When we were sinners Christ died for us. Through this faith, we have access to the Father. Lord, may I see the sin in my life that hinders my relationship with You, that I will be quick to confess and receive Your forgiveness. May I live a life that is holy and be a mirror of what Christ did for me. May I be humble and always caring for those that are less fortunate than myself. Father, thank you for making a way through Christ, that I may know that I am a child of God and can enter Your throne room with confidence, and that You will welcome me. Amen.”

    “Father our desire is to continually seek your presence in our daily activities and our interactions with those you place in our circles. Those that we were taught by the world to hate, give us fresh eyes to see that your will is that no man should perish but come to a saving knowledge of the truth about Jesus. We desperately want to be a living epistle that others will be drawn to you, resulting in changed lives. Let the name of Jesus be made great through our daily lives. Oh, Father we plead for you to allow us to be that city set on a hill that others may experience your greatness.” Thank you Father!

    Thank you Theresa for reminding me that I am to mirror Christ. Only by God’s grace. Blessed by your blog.
