PDO & Preschool Mission Statement
West Park's Parents Day Out and Preschool program exists to serve our church families and other
families throughout the community. We desire to glorify God by telling
children from the earliest age about Jesus and teaching them the truths of
God’s Word. Our goal is to educate children spiritually, socially, emotionally,
and physically—through a curriculum of age-appropriate activities.
2026-2027 School Year Program
Welcome to our Parents Day Out and Preschool Program. We are a nonprofit Christian program and a ministry of West Park Baptist Church. For over two decades, we have provided a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children can learn, grow, and build a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond.
Our one and two-year-old classes use Scripture Bites Thematic Units for Preschool from Standard Publishing, while our three, four, and five-year-old classes use The Gospel Project. Each week, children learn through a Christ-centered Bible story, theme, and character trait. Teachers supplement the curriculum with engaging activities tailored to the individual needs, abilities, and interests of each child.
Children ages two and up can also enjoy Music Class each week during the school year, as well as The Gathering for children ages three and up.
Our classrooms balance center-based learning with engaging large-group activities. We encourage children to develop important social and academic skills by learning to listen carefully, follow directions, willingly obey, and develop positive habits in thinking, organizing, and problem-solving.
Above all, our goal is to help each child grow in their love for Jesus while developing the skills and confidence they need for the next step in their educational journey.
